You might recall reading about Green Tree Court’s Christmas fair and raffle last month. Yesterday, charity presentations took place at Green Tree Court, following the success of our festive fundraising efforts!Resident Margaret Walton presented the cheques of £317 each to David Fields from MIND Somerset and Gina Awad from Exeter Dementia Action Alliance.

In addition, Gina was presented with the £110 raised from the sale of the 2019 Alliance calendar, which was illustrated  Private Eye Cartoonist, Tony Husband, of which Green Tree Court was also a month sponsor (June).

The presentation was attended by residents, staff and relatives and was followed by a cream tea.

Dementia Action Alliance brings together leading organisations across England committed to transforming health and social care outcomes for people affected by dementia.

Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health, it celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016. Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf.
